I am the Presenter of BBC2 Series, Morocco to Timbuktu: An Arabian Adventure. I am the author of two books:Morocco to Timbuktu: An Arabian Adventure and Dodging Elephants  I worked for the BBC for many years in TV News and also freelanced for Channel 4, ITN and Sky.  I have worked on entertainment and trade magazines.  I speak fluent Arabic and have worked on Arabic TV News and also in Arabic/English magazines.  I spent a number of years as Managing Editor of a large ISP. I now freelance for various publications, websites and broadcasters including the Financial Times, BBC Radio 4/5Live, Fodor’s, Lonely Planet, Women’s Health, BBC Online, OZY, Dow Jones, Trek & Mountain, The Great Outdoors,  and Trailrunning Magazine. I was also Editor of RunUltra, the largest website for ultra runners.
